Hi, how are you?

My name is Tierney. I believe, as my former senator said, that “everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but not their own facts.” Facts have been politicized and that’s a shame, because we’ve got some serious problems to solve. Thankfully, there are amazing people driving innovation for change and we should revere them like rock stars. Leapology is the study of a positive future and this blog is hopefully just the beginning of a larger vision.

I worked at NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokaw, was the COO of Slooh.com (the only live online observatory), and am a published science writer. I also like to ride my old red Vespa, go on adventures with my daughter and pugs, and cook strange things with my husband in Austin, TX.
